back of house/small dog room monitor OR flex/puppy kennel attendant

For our Back of house and small dog room monitor position:
Our next volunteer orientation for the back of house/small dog room monitor position is 4/28 or 4/29 at 10 am or 1 pm. You must be scheduled by our volunteer coordinator in order to join our orientation day.
We are looking for people with experience handling, supervising, and/or caring for dogs. Please fill out the application below to be considered for this position. Our volunteer coordinator will contact the best fit for our facility via email once applications have been reviewed.
Although you will get the occasional dog snuggles that make it all worth it, shelter work is hard, and it is dirty! You will be trained to clean kennels, potty dogs and supervise our small and medium dog play areas. You will be trained to help with Laundry, Dishes, Sweeping/Mopping, tons of cleaning, bathing dogs, and helping us with day to day tasks.
We ask our volunteers to show up for their assigned shift on time every week, and to get their shift covered by another volunteer if they cannot make it one week. Our current, amazing and dedicated volunteers have been at ODR for around 5-10 years!
The shifts we are looking to fill are Saturdays 7-11 & 3-6
You will be scheduled for 1 consistent day/time each week ongoing.
For our Flex/Puppy room monitor:
Our next volunteer orientation for the flex/puppy room monitor is 5/1 at 10 am or 1 pm. You must be scheduled by our volunteer coordinator in order to join our orientation day.
We are looking for people looking to gain experience handling, supervising, and/or caring for puppies. Please fill out the application below to be considered for this position. Our volunteer coordinator will contact the best fit for our facility via email once applications have been reviewed.
Although you will get the occasional puppy snuggles that make it all worth it, shelter work is hard, and it is dirty! You will be trained to clean kennels, potty dogs and supervise our puppy room. You will be trained to help with Laundry, Dishes, Sweeping/Mopping, tons of cleaning, bathing dogs, and helping us with day-to-day tasks when we do not have puppies on site. This is a flex position so you will be asked to occasionally do other tasks aside from only puppy stuff.
We ask our volunteers to show up for their assigned shift on time every week, and to get their shift covered by another volunteer if they cannot make it one week. Our current, amazing and dedicated volunteers have been at ODR for around 5-10 years!
The shifts we are looking to fill are Wednesday 7-10 am, Monday 12-3, and Fridays 12-3 only at this time.
